Parc de Sept Heures Spa's flea market is situated in the magnificent setting of the Parc de Sept - Heures, sheltered under the Leopold II Arcade, in the centre of Spa, behind the Tourist Information Office. It takes place every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. You will be delighted to find antiques, second hand goods curiosities, craft work as well all kinds of collections. More than two thousand people attend the flea market every Sunday.
Lac de Warfaaz A wonderful lake 2 kilometres from Camping Spa d'Or on the road to Spa. Pedal crafts can be hired, it's great for fishing (see below) and there are some nice restaurants and you can have diner on the lake if you want!
FishingThe fishing can be good in this area. Lac de Warfaaz is a lake at 2kilometers from the campsite. Daily permit: 5 euros (from 1/5 till 30/9) and you will need a required Permit from the Region Wallonne.

At 1.5 kilometers there is "Etang du Pont Lepage", a small pond, where a permit is 6 euros, and you do not need a permit from the Region Wallonne. And, planned for 2007 there will be a brand new large pond, at 1.5 kilometers from the campsite, "Carpodrome", where a permit is 8 euros.
Municipal Swimming pool Situated in splendid woodland surroundings, on the way to the lake of Warfaaz, the water sports complex of Spa consists of: an Olympic outdoor swimming pool of 50 m., water temperature 23 degrees with a 45 m. single water slide, diving boards, children's pool and 8.000 square meters of lawns. A covered swimming pool of 25 m. water temp. 28 degrees, a water slide children's pool and whirlpool. A relaxing area with sauna, steam bath and solarium.
Skiing At an altitude of 540/575m, 8 km from the camp site in the direction of Musee de la Foret a breathtaking location the hills surrounding of Spa near the "Fagnes" lies La Piste de Ski de Spa. Cross country skiing on 3-5-10 km. tracks. Special tracks. Free access. Available facilities: ski-lifts, heated chalet, ski for hire, cafeteria.

Robertville - Reinhardstein Reinhardstein, medieval castle in ruins since XIXth century, is rising again at an altitude of almost 500 m.; dominating the River Warche. Classified since 1977, the site is said to have revealed evidences of very ancient civilisations : Neolithic, Celtic, Roman. The four Aymon sons, whose legend has been written at the abbey of Stavelot, are said to have refugieed over there, near Waimes, where Charlemagne had a residence connected with Aix-la-Chapelle. In 1354, Renaud of Waimes built on this rocky basis a new fortified castle with the authorization of Wenceslas, duke of Luxemburg, who became in 1356 duke of Brabant and Limburg. As an European castle, Reinhardstein has seen famous families succeeding one an other : the Nesselrode, the Nassau, The Schwarzenberg and mainly the Metternich, owners of Reinhardstein during more than 300 years Under French domination, the earl François of Metternich, last plenipotentiary chancellor of the Emperor in Brussels, last Hereditary Mayor of Waimes and father of the famous Prince Clement of Metternich, sold the witch was almost Completely demolished. In 1815, at the Congress of Vienna, this part of the country was annexed to Prussia until 1919. Mister Overloop, the rebuilder, lived in this castle since 1965 till his death in 1994. Nowadays, Mister Clement Defossa, his Former collaborator, is living here with his family. Surrounded by an ornithological and botanical reservation in which is flowing the highest Belgian water-fall, Reinhardstein, The Metternich, is again the castle of the Warche sung by poets. Malmedy Visit Malmedy. The Cavens house, situated place de Rome, 11 is an ancient orphanage. Founded by Jean Hubert Cavens this nice building today houses the national museum of paper and the carnival museum. Built as an abbey from 1775 on, it was dedicated to the saints Peter, Paul and Quirin on the 05/09/1784. After becoming parish in 1819 it was raised to the rank of a cathedral between 1920 and 1925 and diocese of Eupen-Malmedy, during the short government of Baltia. The main altar is made of marble and dates from 1877. The marble altar of the holy virgin dates from 1773. The pulpit and the four confessionals date from 1770. The cathedral contains relics from saint Quirin. The church-windows are also worth having a look at, they were replaced after the bombing of December 1944. The bell-tower dates from 1786 and is composed of 35 bells founded by Martin Legros from Malmedy. Opening periods: every day except certain festive days when the flow of people in the town is too big. During the months of July and August guided visits are organized every day from 10 to 12 am and from 2 to 6 pm. On the right of the cathedral in the abbey park, there is a memorial dedicated to the civil victims of the bombings of December 1944 during the Battle of the bulge. On five columns there are 219 names.
Theux The Castle of Theux, "Chateau de Franchimont" is open during holidays from 10.00 to 18.00. Walk by night with candlesticks: July and August each Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10 p.m.
La Reid The wildpark of La Reid has a Large playground. Open in Seasons from 9.00 to 18.00. Entry: adults 5.00, child 2.50
Durbuy Durbuy, the smallest town in Europe (and in the world, so they say ...), located south of the city of Namur along the river Ourthe. Durbuy is really very small but picturesque with its narrow cobblestones streets and timber-framed houses.
High Fens / Haute Fagnes The High Fens, and Nature Centre of the Hautes-Fagnes, located at the heart of the nature park of the Hautes Fagnes, welcomes hikers and curious persons who want to discover the beauties of the High Fens. An permanent exhibition that was created in 1996 ads to the information received during the visit thanks to films and slides. There is also a centre of documentation, a welcome centre, a "green" shop and nature guides.
The High Fens is an upland area, made of moorland and forest, situated between Belgium and Germany, at the highest point in Belgium of 694 meters.
